Description

As an independent system, separate from the New York City and Queens libraries, Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) serves the borough's 2.5 million residents, offering thousands of public programs, millions of books and use of more than 1,100 free Internet-accessible computers.

HOW HAS BPL BEEN IMPACTED BY COVID-19? Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all BPL locations are currently closed. Some New York State library cards have been automatically renewed, due dates on some library materials have been automatically extended and members with a blocked library card (due to accumulation of fines), will be able to access eBooks and audiobooks without restriction. Please check BPL's website for up-to-date changes.
