During my first years at Community Access, I was a volunteer in supported housing, then became a Service Coordinator where a passion for fostering residents’ education interests emerged. In Fall 2015, I joined Blueprint — then, a new initiative — as a Supported Education Specialist. For the first five years, I travelled around the five boroughs to support participants directly. In Fall 2019, I became program director, where I still get to cover meetings from time to time. In all of my roles, it has been an honor to be a part of hundreds of education journeys. Access to quality education is a human right, and I am passionate about support for adults learners. I am a graduate of the NYC public school system, and of Hampshire College where I received a BA in Liberal Arts.
